PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Moukako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lachlan Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: ready to Roll, The Black Dahlias. Lachlan Anderson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moukako darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Moukako is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Anderson!

Moukako is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Anderson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Moukako drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Anderson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Moukako has Anderson in his guard.
Anderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Anderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Moukako has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anderson has managed to get both his arms back between Moukako's legs - danger averted.
