Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JL Salac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liger Yu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yu throws a right hand that Salac ducks under and follows up with a left that Salac also avoids with ease.
Yu tries to clinch but Salac moves out of range.
Yu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Yu throws the kick towards the body but Salac avoids it.
Salac takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Salac swats away the attempt to clinch by Yu.

Yu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Salac postures up in Yu's guard and throws a big left but Yu blocks it.

Salac trying to control the position from guard on top but Yu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Salac is really struggling to control Yu but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Salac passes Yu's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Yu is looking to improve his position.

Salac is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Yu has managed to free his arm - good work.
Salac is breathing heavily.
Salac stops Yu from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Salac is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Yu sees it coming and defends easily.

Yu wants to get back to full guard but Salac has passed into side control.

Salac has control of Yu's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Yu regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Yu holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Salac tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Yu wants to control but Salac is having none of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Salac throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Yu because Salac loaded up on that one.

Salac stands up from mount. Strange move.
Salac shoots in for a takedown but Yu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Yu is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A head kick misses from Yu.
Yu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Salac tries for a takedown but Yu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Yu lands a high kick!

It looks like JL Salac has been cut.
Salac dodges the punch combination from Yu.
Yu thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Salac if he has to take too many more of those.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Liger Yu will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on JL Salac's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Yu throws a jab but it's blocked by Salac.
A head kick by Yu misses

and Salac counters by clinching up.
Yu throws a knee to the head but misses.
Yu using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Salac has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Yu uses from the top position.

Salac looking for a guillotine here but Yu defends easily.
Yu postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Salac has a closed guard, preventing Yu from standing up.

Yu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Salac has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yu has managed to get both his arms back between Salac's legs - danger averted.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Salac throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Yu thows a big elbow that misses.
Yu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Salac swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Salac trying to keep a closed guard but Yu is proving a slippery customer.
Yu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salac. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Yu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Salac works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Salac looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yu is one step ahead there.
Yu wanted to stand there but Salac had control of the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Yu wants to clinch but Salac slips to the side

and Salac counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Yu is looking to improve his position.

Salac wants to stand up but Yu has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Salac trying to mount his opponent but Yu defends it.
Salac prevents Yu from improving his position.
Salac stops Yu from getting back to his feet.
Salac wants to pass to mount but Yu is defending the position.

Salac throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Salac perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Yu is looking to clinch.
Yu misses with a series of wild punches.
Yu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Salac swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A combination from Yu does no damage.
Liger Yu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A bone on bone clash there as Yu blocks the leg kick.
Yu tries a head kick but it misses.
Yu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Salac drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Salac has an Americana. Yu didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Salac is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Salac hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
