Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMahon circles away from the clinch attempt.
McMahon closes the distance looking to clinch
and King counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Some wild striking there from McMahon.
King throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McMahon.
McMahon tries to clinch but fails miserably
and King counters with a nice uppercut.

King tries to score a body lock takedown but McMahon shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

King is trying to trip McMahon. He has hold of a leg but McMahon is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. King persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

McMahon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and King counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
McMahon connecting with a few gentle strikes.
McMahon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

King drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McMahon dives on top into guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

King tries to clinch but McMahon moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McMahon tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and King counters with a good, hard body kick but McMahon shrugs it off.
The fight stays on the outside here - McMahon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Mickey McMahon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

King scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. King connects with a nice short shot to McMahon's temple.

McMahon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. King is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. McMahon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take King's back instead.
The referee is taking a good look at King as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from McMahon!
McMahon is punishing King with strikes - can he finish him?!
McMahon controlling the position well here. King rolled but McMahon kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

King is in a horrible position here. McMahon smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
King is squirming around, avoiding McMahon's attempts to control the action.
McMahon lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

King wants to get back to his feet.
King is desperately trying to improve his position but McMahon has a good base and remains in mount.

McMahon moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, King has worked his arm free - good work by King!

King bucks up and tries to throw McMahon off but instead McMahon has got his back!
McMahon doesn't have the hooks in and King manages to turn into his guard.
