Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Niklas Edmarker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ismo Laitela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Niklas Edmarker has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Niklas Edmarker seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ismo Laitela!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edmarker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Edmarker stuffs the takedown attempt from Laitela. Laitela gets slowly back to his feet.
Laitela slips under a jab from Edmarker.
Edmarker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Edmarker wants it to stay on the feet.
Laitela uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Edmarker.
Laitela fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Niklas Edmarker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ismo Laitela.
Laitela takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Edmarker stuffs the takedown attempt from Laitela. Laitela gets slowly back to his feet.
Laitela shoots in but Edmarker avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Edmarker moves into range and clinches up with Laitela.

Edmarker manages to break the clinch.
Edmarker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Laitela.
Edmarker looks to land a left hand but Laitela moved out of range nicely.
Edmarker throws a head kick but Laitela moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Edmarker. No joy for Laitela on that attempt.
Laitela misses with a takedown attempt - Edmarker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Laitela uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Edmarker.
Laitela closes the distance and clinches up with Edmarker, looking for a takedown. Laitela pushes Edmarker against the cage but Edmarker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Laitela looks gassed!

Edmarker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Edmarker is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Edmarker is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Edmarker is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Laitela doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Edmarker.
Edmarker seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Edmarker is thwarting Laitela's attempts to control the position.
Laitela tries to get to full guard but Edmarker has control of the leg.
Laitela is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Edmarker wants to stand but Laitela has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Edmarker rushes Laitela and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Edmarker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Laitela drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Laitela is working to tighten is grip on Edmarker's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Edmarker has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Laitela is really squeezing tight and eventually Edmarker passes out! Laitela breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
