PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Oh Well. as his entrance music. Darren Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jamie Lynch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Darren Smith!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynch lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively.
Smith misses with a kick to the body.
Lynch walks into a straight right hand from Smith.

Lynch gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lynch is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Lynch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Smith might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lynch kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Good leg kick by Smith there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Darren Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lynch doesn't seem bothered though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jamie Lynch will probably get the nod.
