Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapierre throws a head kick that misses.

Lapierre throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice takedown defense from Nara. No joy for Lapierre on that attempt.
Lapierre lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lapierre.
Lapierre attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Lapierre shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nara defends it nicely.

Nara lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Nara scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Jean Lapierre has been cut.
Lapierre is breathing heavily.
Nara lands with a nice combination. Lapierre backs away looking to recover.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lapierre tries to bum rush Nara with a series of wild strikes but Nara uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nara shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lapierre manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Nara would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Lapierre is looking for a triangle but Nara pushes his legs off easily.
Lapierre is looking to stand up but Nara isn't so interested in that idea.
Lapierre tries to land a sweep but no joy.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nara slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Nara avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lapierre throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Lapierre with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nara to score with a decent uppercut.
Lapierre shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Nara connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Lapierre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A cross from Nara lands.
Lapierre misses with a double jab
and Nara counters with a one-two to the body.
Nara blocks a head kick by Lapierre.

A left and a right from Nara both land. Nice combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nara scores with a one two! Lapierre had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Nara lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Lapierre can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Nara and Lapierre drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Nara.
