Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robyn Phaneuf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Okabi Rarorotieshima!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rarorotieshima fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Rarorotieshima or perhaps it was just good defense by Phaneuf which made him look bad.
Phaneuf throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rarorotieshima fails with the takedown.
Robyn Phaneuf has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Okabi Rarorotieshima.
Phaneuf shoots in looking for a takedown. Rarorotieshima tries to sprawl out of it but Phaneuf keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Rarorotieshima manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rarorotieshima takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Rarorotieshima circles away from the clinch attempt.
Phaneuf defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rarorotieshima.
Rarorotieshima looks gassed!
Phaneuf looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Phaneuf tries to close the distance and clinch but Rarorotieshima swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Phaneuf doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Rarorotieshima counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Phaneuf is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Phaneuf passes to side control.

Phaneuf tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Phaneuf has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Phaneuf stands up and beckons Rarorotieshima to his feet.
Phaneuf wants to clinch but Rarorotieshima slips to the side

and Rarorotieshima counters by clinching up.
Still in the clinch, Phaneuf scores with a nice short uppercut.

Phaneuf jumps guard and drags Rarorotieshima to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Phaneuf is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Rarorotieshima is posturing up here but Phaneuf has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Rarorotieshima tries to roll out but it's too tight and Rarorotieshima has to tap! Slick submission there by Phaneuf!
