Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trent displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Avit throws out the jab.
Avit fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Trent avoids it really well and circles away.
Avit keeps the fight on the outside.
Trent with a lazy takedown attempt
and Avit counters with a stiff right hand.
Avit punishes Trent's body with a nice straight punch.
Trent drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Avit moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Ben Avit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Avit stuffs the takedown attempt from Trent. Trent gets slowly back to his feet.
Avit misses with the combination.

Trent shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Trent is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Avit works his way to full guard. Good work.

Avit uses the cage to get back to his feet.

and Trent cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Avit stuffs the takedown attempt from Trent. Trent gets slowly back to his feet.

Trent misses with a straight left.

Avit lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Trent circles away quickly and effectively.
Trent tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Avit dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Trent on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Avit misses with a double jab

and Trent counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Avit works his way to full guard. Good work.
Avit manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Avit lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Trent hang on?
Trent looks gassed!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trent is squirming around, avoiding Avit's attempts to control the action.
Avit is trying to control here but Trent has managed to regain half guard.

Avit is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Trent doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Avit.

Trent is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Trent is trying to maintain the position but Avit is very close to passing his half guard.
Avit missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Avit throwing shots but Trent is blocking nicely.
Trent wants to stand back up but Avit manages to pass into side control.

Avit has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Trent is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Avit yanks on the arm and Trent is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Avit.
