Deng Tiao's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Fearless. Maia has chosen Ratamahatta as his entrance music. Kang Deng Tiao has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia checks a leg kick.

Deng Tiao gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Maia to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Maia got a little sloppy there for a moment and Deng Tiao has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Maia has managed to get both his arms back between Deng Tiao's legs - danger averted.

Deng Tiao is looking for a triangle but Maia pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Deng Tiao isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Maia stacks Deng Tiao on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Maia!
Deng Tiao is looking for a sweep.

Maia tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Maia has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Maia wants to control but Deng Tiao is keeping him busy.

Deng Tiao tries to buck Maia off but Maia is having none of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Deng Tiao attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Deng Tiao throws a combination. Maia tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Pedro Maia has been cut.
Deng Tiao swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Deng Tiao drops Maia with a beautiful combination! Maia stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Deng Tiao is looking for the KO!

Deng Tiao misses with a low kick.
Deng Tiao stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Maia is rocked!
Deng Tiao lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Maia falls backwards - clearly groggy! Deng Tiao dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
