The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novikov shoots in but Dadude avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Novikov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A slow jab from Dadude misses its intended target.
Novikov shoots in for a double leg but Dadude sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dadude is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dadude stuffs the takedown.
Dizzle Dadude has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergei Novikov.
Novikov throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dadude.
Novikov takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Novikov is trying desperately to land a takedown but Dadude is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Novikov.

Dizzle Dadude is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dadude lands a big uppercut and Novikov crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Novikov looks OK. Dadude waves Novikov back to his feet!

Novikov walks straight into a right hand from Dadude - that's dropped him! Dadude jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Novikov from any more punishment! Novikov complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
