The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sampson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
James should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Sampson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. James is trying to defend but Sampson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
James tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sampson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sampson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. James tries to avoid it but Sampson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag James to the ground. James escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sampson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sampson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sampson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
