Loose closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Loose wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hill, who protects the arm well.
Hill tries to escape but Loose is in control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Loose is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hill knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hill pushes Loose away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Loose gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Loose had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hill is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Loose Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hill's back instead.
Hill is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Loose off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
