The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Koivusalo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Svensson defends well.
Koivusalo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Svensson manages to get himself to full guard.

and Svensson counters with a shoot takedown. Koivusalo fights it but they end up in guard.

Koivusalo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Svensson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Koivusalo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Svensson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Koivusalo.

Koivusalo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Koivusalo seems to have locked his on tight now - Svensson screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Koivusalo, as he picks up the win!
