Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McClaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man comes into the arena with All My Life blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McClaine scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
McClaine throws a strike aimed at the side of Man's head but Man avoids it well.
McClaine working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Man regains half guard there - taking advantage of McClaine's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

McClaine is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Man has managed to free his arm - good work.
McClaine has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
McClaine avoids the attempt from Man to control.

McClaine goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Man is on top in guard.

McClaine had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Man is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. McClaine Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Man's back instead.

McClaine has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Man has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

McClaine is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Man defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

McClaine swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Man is now in McClaine's guard. A big mistake from McClaine there, giving up the dominant position!

Man lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as McClaine backs up against the cage.

McClaine shoots for a takedown but Man saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McClaine throws a series of punches but Man avoids them all with ease.
Man tries a head kick but it misses.

Man lands with a kick to the temple. McClaine shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

McClaine drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Man manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McClaine has Man in his guard.

McClaine looking to hit a scissor sweep but Man is one step ahead there.

Man avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Man postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Man throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Man throws a big right hand that misses.
Man trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Man loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

McClaine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Man swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McClaine uses his free foot to push down on Man's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Man.

A bit of a lull in the action here.
McClaine tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

McClaine is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Man's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Man's back!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

McClaine is looking for the choke from the back position but Man is controlling his hands well.
Man grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Man keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McClaine's head.

Man is in a horrible position here. McClaine smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
John McClaine is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
McClaine takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
