The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malik scores with a punch to the head.
Malik throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like jesus dasilva has been cut.
Malik jabs dasilva right on the nose. dasilva blinks but takes it well.
Malik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
dasilva shoots in looking for a takedown. Malik tries to sprawl out of it but dasilva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Malik manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Malik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but dasilva manages to avoid it.
No joy there for Malik, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Malik uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before dasilva has time to react.
dasilva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

dasilva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than dasilva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
