Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shelton Harrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slater has chosen Terminator Theme as his entrance music. Shelton Harrell is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shelton Harrell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Slater!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrell misses with a straight right.
Harrell missing with a left hand there. Slater was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Slater bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slater is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Harrell has escaped the position, nice work there.
Slater advances to full mount.

Slater goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Harrell turns into him and now he's in Slater's guard.
Slater is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Slater is looking for a kimura but Harrell is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Slater to get the leverage.

Harrell is trying to control but can't.

Slater is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Harrell wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Slater fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harrell avoids it really well and circles away.

Harrell tries to bum rush Slater with a series of wild strikes but Slater uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A punch lands to the side of Slater 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Harrell throws a right hand that Slater ducks under and follows up with a left that Slater also avoids with ease.

Harrell throws a hook to the side of Slater's head but Slater sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Slater is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
No joy there for Harrell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Harrell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Harrell tests Slater's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Harrell misses with a body kick.
Horrible takedown by Slater or perhaps it was just good defense by Harrell which made him look bad.
Shelton Harrell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Slater.
Harrell punishes Slater's body with a nice straight punch.
Slater walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Slater takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Harrell is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Harrell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Slater looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Harrell comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Slater shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Harrell sprawls well. Harrell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Slater gets slowly back to his feet.
Harrell lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Slater dives in and grabs Harrell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harrell pushes down on Slater's head and hops out.
A jab from Harrell finds it's way through Slater's defenses.
Shelton Harrell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice uppercut lands for Harrell. That snapped Slater's head back.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Slater.
Slater takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Slater throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Harrell's waist but Harrell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Slater off to one side.

Slater shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Harrell as he jumps to the side.

Harrell paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Slater tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Harrell swivels and escapes.
Harrell clobbers Slater with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Harrell scores with a sloppy right hand. Slater should have avoided that one.
Harrell cracks Slater with an open hand slap.
Harrell works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Slater shoots for a takedown but Harrell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Slater takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Slater sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harrell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
