Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and roger york (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Josh Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, roger york!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
york dives in and grabs Cook's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cook pushes down on york's head and hops out.

york drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

york looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

york has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Excellent takedown into side control there by york.
Cook is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

york decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cook to his feet.
No joy there for Cook, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
york shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cook but Cook pushes him off and we're back to square one.
york fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Josh Cook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of roger york.
york looks gassed!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cook moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Cook shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts york as he jumps to the side.
Cook fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Cook counters with a nice double leg into side control. york won't be happy with that.
Cook lands a few punches from side control.
Cook staying calm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
york pushes Cook away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cook gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cook tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Cook decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Cook scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

york gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Cook gets to his feet. york looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Cook tried to score with a low kick but york checks it.

Cook shoots in and bounces york off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cook passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Cook has hold of york's arm. He's looking for a kimura. york seems comfortable defending it but Cook has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! york is real pain and he's forced to tap out! york is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cook couldn't care less - he's delighted!
