Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between dMarcus Carlton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nino Abbas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, dMarcus Carlton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nino Abbas!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbas shoots for a takedown but Carlton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Abbas shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Carlton is trying to defend but Abbas finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Carlton trying to control here.
Abbas should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Carlton wants to get back to full guard but Abbas has mounted him!

Carlton regains half guard.
Carlton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Carlton looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Abbas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carlton keeps working.

Carlton works his way to full guard. Good work.
Carlton looking for a sweep. Not yet Carlton, not yet.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Carlton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Abbas sprawls well initially but Carlton persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Carlton is trying to work for a kimura but Abbas is defending well.
Carlton is pressing down on Abbas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Abbas is holding on for now.
Carlton is trying to control the action in half guard but Abbas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Carlton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Abbas is defending against the submission attempts here by Carlton.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlton fails with the takedown

and Abbas counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Carlton manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Carlton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Carlton is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Carlton is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Abbas moves into full guard.

Carlton is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Abbas is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Abbas has escaped and now he's on top!
Abbas advances to half guard.

Abbas wants to take a breather but Carlton is having none of it.
Abbas wants to pass to mount but Carlton is defending the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carlton wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Carlton manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Carlton is working for a submission of some sort.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Abbas is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nino Abbas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Carlton with a poor takedown

and Abbas counters with a single leg into guard. Carlton didn't expect that.
Abbas sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Carlton's guard.
Carlton trying to get back to full guard but Abbas takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Carlton can't escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abbas lands a heavy elbow.
Carlton is working to get back to half guard.

Abbas goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Carlton is on top in guard.
Abbas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Carlton trying to control the position from guard on top but Abbas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Carlton has gone for a leg lock! Abbas slips out almost immediately though and dives into Carlton's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carlton looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Abbas passes into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Abbas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Carlton struggling a bit here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Carlton is looking for a sweep.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Carlton regains half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nino Abbas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Abbas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
