Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mac Fedor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Matchenkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fedor comes to the cage accompanied by Hate me now - Nas. Boris Matchenkov has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedor takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Fedor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Matchenkov swivels and escapes.

Matchenkov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Matchenkov in side control lands a decent elbow.
Fedor is trying to get back to half guard.
Matchenkov lands some shots froms side control.
Fedor pushes Matchenkov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Matchenkov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Matchenkov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fedor keeps working.
Fedor regains half guard.
Matchenkov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fedor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Matchenkov wants to control but Fedor is keeping him busy.

Matchenkov is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Fedor has managed to free his arm - good work.
Fedor is trying to maintain the position but Matchenkov is very close to passing his half guard.

Matchenkov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fedor manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fedor is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Matchenkov is trying to maintain the position but Fedor is very close to passing his half guard.

Fedor is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Matchenkov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fedor.

Fedor escapes and gets back to his feet.
Matchenkov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Fedor looks to clinch

and Matchenkov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fedor's guard.

Fedor uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Matchenkov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fedor is working away from the top position though.

Matchenkov tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Fedor lands with a punch from half guard.
Fedor moves into full mount! Matchenkov won't be happy about that!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Matchenkov is trying desperately to improve position.
Matchenkov is in a horrible position here. Fedor smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fedor tries to clinch there but Matchenkov circles away.

Mac Fedor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Matchenkov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fedor did well to prevent Matchenkov getting side control.
Matchenkov wants to take a breather but Fedor is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
