Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kingdom Brunell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kareem al Rashid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brunell comes to the cage accompanied by Requiem for a Dream. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brunell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
al Rashid stuffs the takedown attempt from Brunell. Brunell gets slowly back to his feet.
Brunell fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kingdom Brunell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

al Rashid lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Brunell tries to score a power double leg takedown but al Rashid sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brunell somewhat.

It looks like Kingdom Brunell has been cut.

Brunell shoots for a double leg takedown but al Rashid sprawls well. He's pushed Brunell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
al Rashid cracks Brunell with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
al Rashid lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
al Rashid misses with a wild body shot.
Kareem al Rashid is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Brunell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from al Rashid.
A punch lands to the side of Brunell 's head but he takes it in his stride.
al Rashid jabs Brunell right on the nose. Brunell blinks but takes it well.
al Rashid cracks Brunell with an open hand slap.
al Rashid lands a jab to Brunell's midsection.
Kareem al Rashid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
al Rashid lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
al Rashid swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brunell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. al Rashid tries to avoid it but Brunell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag al Rashid to the ground. al Rashid escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brunell shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with al Rashid but al Rashid pushes him off and we're back to square one.
al Rashid misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brunell ducks under a wild hook from al Rashid.
Horrible takedown by Brunell or perhaps it was just good defense by al Rashid which made him look bad.
al Rashid fails to land with a series of punches.
al Rashid cracks Brunell with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Brunell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from al Rashid.
al Rashid is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Brunell had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
No joy there for al Rashid, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brunell looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Brunell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. al Rashid defends it nicely.
al Rashid scores with a hook to the body. Brunell takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Brunell slips under a jab from al Rashid.
Brunell walks into a left hand.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brunell is defended easily by al Rashid.
Brunell drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

al Rashid lands a nice hook to Brunell's body. Brunell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
al Rashid lands a nice shot to the body.
al Rashid throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Brunell sees it coming and avoids it easily.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Brunell. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
al Rashid lands the left hand.
al Rashid scores with the left hand. Brunell knows he should have avoided that one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Brunell shoots in and drives through. al Rashid sprawls well.
al Rashid's corner calls for a 1-2. al Rashid obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
al Rashid lands a left and a right that send Brunell crashing to the mat, dazed. al Rashid thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Brunell is rocked!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
al Rashid cracks Brunell on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Brunell falls backwards against the cage. al Rashid follows up with more strikes that drop Brunell to his knees. al Rashid keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Brunell! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kareem al Rashid!
