Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Holwitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holwitz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Malone paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Holwitz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Malone slaps away a takedown attempt from Holwitz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Holwitz has managed to clinch.
Malone has clasped his hands together around Holwitz's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Malone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Holwitz keeps working.
Malone is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Holwitz is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Malone has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Holwitz has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Malone feints and as Holwitz raises his hands in defense, Malone changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
