The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva takes a shot to the body in his stride.
James throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.
James moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
James throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Silva takes one on the chin but seems OK.

James lands a nice looking body shot.
James lands a nice hook to Silva's body. Silva takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but James moves away.

A combination from James does no damage.
James rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.
James lands a nice looking body shot.

James throws a right and a left that both miss.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as James sprawls well. James wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
Richard James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Murilo Silva.

James throws a right and a left that both miss.
James fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.

Silva shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense.
James uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

James looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
James throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

James really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A decent looking cross lands there for James.
A left and a right from James both land. Nice combination.
Silva is rocked!
James lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Silva can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from James and Silva drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by James.
