The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pickles shoots in for a takedown but JACKSON shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

JACKSON shoots in and bounces Pickles off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

JACKSON is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pickles is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Pickles escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. JACKSON gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

JACKSON is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
JACKSON knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pickles on the ground.

Pickles has his foot on JACKSON's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. JACKSON works his way back into a safe position though.

Pickles working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. JACKSON doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. JACKSON manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
JACKSON slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Oh but Pickles is tightening it up a little... JACKSON has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! JACKSON reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! JACKSON taps out! nice BJJ there by Pickles!
