Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between El Chingon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Netherwhick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joey Netherwhick told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chingon missing with a left hand there. Netherwhick was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Chingon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Chingon throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Chingon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Chingon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Netherwhick drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chingon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chingon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chingon!
Netherwhick takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Chingon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Netherwhick knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Chingon cracks Netherwhick with a big right hand but Netherwhick just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Chingon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Netherwhick manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Chingon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Netherwhick manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chingon has Netherwhick in his guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Netherwhick connects with a nice short shot to Chingon's temple.

Chingon postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Netherwhick in real trouble here! The ref calls for Netherwhick to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
