Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jarek Dobromir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geoff Deal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jarek Dobromir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Geoff Deal!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deal misses with a head kick.
Deal tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Deal stuffs the takedown attempt from Dobromir. Dobromir gets slowly back to his feet.
The fighters circling - Deal throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dobromir uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Deal.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Dobromir checks a leg kick.
Deal throws a sloppy head kick and Dobromir moves out of range easily.
Deal dips to his left and cracks Dobromir with an uppercut!
Geoff Deal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dobromir takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dobromir had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Deal is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dobromir Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Deal's back instead.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Deal is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Dobromir is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Deal knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Deal for a finish.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dobromir is trying to stick to Deal's back but Deal is turning into Dobromir. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dobromir's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Deal.
Deal must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That was a close round but I would say that Jarek Dobromir will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Deal fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Dobromir checks it well.
Deal fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Deal manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dobromir manages to get himself to full guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Deal feints and then cracks Dobromir's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dobromir down.
Dobromir throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Deal's waist but Deal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dobromir off to one side.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Deal counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Dobromir shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dobromir was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Deal is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Dobromir swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Deal is now in Dobromir's guard. A big mistake from Dobromir there, giving up the dominant position!

Dobromir wants to sweep here but Deal controlling him for the moment.
