Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kiko Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kjartan Isaksen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Isaksen has chosen SHUT UP WOMAN, GET ON MY HORSE! as his entrance music. Kjartan Isaksen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kiko Rogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rogan gets caught flat footed, as Isaksen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Isaksen wants to pass the guard but Rogan is keeping the position.

Rogan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Isaksen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Isaksen is standing up over Rogan. Rogan looks to escape but Isaksen dives into side control.

I looks like Isaksen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Isaksen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Isaksen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rogan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kiko Rogan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Isaksen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rogan manages to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No joy there for Isaksen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Isaksen cracks Rogan with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Rogan throws a hook to the side of Isaksen's head but Isaksen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Isaksen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rogan!
Isaksen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rogan is desperately trying to improve his position but Isaksen has a good base and remains in mount.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kjartan Isaksen just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Isaksen stalks Rogan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rogan's face. Rogan staggers backwards, shaken.

Rogan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Isaksen's head.

Isaksen lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Rogan can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Isaksen and Rogan drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Isaksen.
