Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arkadi Novikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beasty Kannegaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kannegaard has chosen Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become as his entrance music. Beasty Kannegaard will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Kannegaard has managed to clinch.

Novikov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kannegaard parries the strikes from Novikov easily there. Novikov is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kannegaard to escape.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Beasty Kannegaard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kannegaard darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kannegaard turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Novikov dives in and grabs Kannegaard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kannegaard pushes down on Novikov's head and hops out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kannegaard connects with a stiff jab that staggers Novikov - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
