The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hatsin looks to land a combination but Brighton avoids it well.
Brighton throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Brighton falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Hatsin to counter with a crisp jab.
Brighton misses with a double jab
and Hatsin counters with a three punch combo that has Brighton backing up. Brighton nods at Hatsin to acknowledge the strikes.
Brighton throws an overhand right that lands on Hatsin's shoulder, as Hatsin tries to avoid the shot.
Hatsin fails to land with a series of punches.

Brighton lands a left and a right that send Hatsin crashing to the mat, dazed. Brighton thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Jatsin Hatsin has been cut.

Hatsin throws a nice looking combination but Brighton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Brighton tries to move into range but Hatsin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Nick Brighton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

letting Hatsin counter with a right hand.

and Hatsin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brighton's guard now.
Hatsin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brighton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hatsin is working hard here to advance position.

Brighton is trying to control the position but Hatsin postures up.

Hatsin passes Brighton's left leg - he's now in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hatsin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brighton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
