The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alejara throws the kick towards the body but Williams avoids it.

Alejara has managed to clinch.
Alejara wants to break free but Williams has control.

Alejara throws a lazy right hand but Williams sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Alejara throws a push kick but Williams slaps the foot to one side.

Williams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Alejara to the mat! Alejara manages to get full guard.

Williams drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Williams jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

You can see the frustration on Alejara's face as Williams controls the position.
Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alejara on the ground.

Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alejara tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alejara to the ground. Alejara escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Alejara is fighting off a takedown attempt but Williams is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Alejara to the mat. Alejara regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
