The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones connects with a body shot.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Griffin.
Griffin dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Griffin's head and hops out.
Some wild striking there from Jones.
Jones throws a right and a left that Griffin avoids nicely.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jones!
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jones cracks Griffin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
Jones lands a two punch combo.
Griffin is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?
Jones finds Griffin's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Griffin flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Jones lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Griffin will be OK.
