Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacDonald throws a push kick but Orton slaps the foot to one side.
Orton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
MacDonald takes a swing at Orton's ribcage but misses.
MacDonald avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Orton doesn't manage to clinch there - MacDonald circles away.
Orton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Orton there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Orton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

MacDonald is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Orton pulls him back up using the underhooks.

With the fighters up against the cage, Orton throws an elbow but misses.

MacDonald is trying to trip Orton. He has hold of a leg but Orton is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. MacDonald persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
MacDonald might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

MacDonald stalks Orton and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Orton's face. Orton staggers backwards, shaken.
MacDonald lands the left hand.

Orton is still on wobbly legs! Can MacDonald finish him?
Orton walks straight into a right hand from MacDonald - that's dropped him! MacDonald jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Orton from any more punishment! Orton complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
