Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franko Mia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mia comes to the cage accompanied by .. Rabago has chosen The Difference Between as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Rabago misses its intended target.
Nice body punch from Mia.

Rabago has managed to clinch.
Mia stops a takedown attempt from Rabago.
Rabago tries to circle away but Mia has him pinned against the cage.
Rabago throws a punch but it's blocked by Mia.
Mia is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Mia is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rabago pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Rabago tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mia is pushing Rabago up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Mia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Rabago throws a series of punches but Mia moves out of range.

Mia shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rabago's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rabago can't keep his opponent in guard - Mia advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Mia moves into full mount! Rabago won't be happy about that!

Mia has hold of Rabago's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rabago manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mia is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Rabago's shoulder. That is not cool.

Rabago tries to bench press Mia off him but Mia keeps the position.
Rabago is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Rabago manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Mia has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rabago has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Mia escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Mia!
