The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson throws a head kick that half lands.

Boyd shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Boyd wants to control from the top but Jefferson keeps moving.

Jefferson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Boyd defends well.

Jefferson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boyd can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Boyd stands and throws Jefferson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Jefferson prevents Boyd from moving into mount.
Jefferson is looking to reverse the position.

Boyd is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jefferson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Boyd gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jefferson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Boyd lets go of the hold and Jefferson can pop his arm back in it's socket.
