PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between rez chrome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Senki Gudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gudo has chosen Intro-Awesome as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, rez chrome!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Senki Gudo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gudo rushes chrome and presses him up against the cage.
chrome tries for a takedown but Gudo manages to get underhooks.
Gudo cracks chrome with a nice body shot.

chrome jumps guard.
chrome might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gudo trying to control the position from guard on top but chrome is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gudo thows a big elbow that misses.
Gudo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

chrome working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gudo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gudo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gudo tries to free his leg and advance position but chrome is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Gudo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in chrome's guard now.

Gudo distracts chrome with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Gudo stands up over chrome, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Gudo pulls guard effortlessly.

Gudo has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think chrome should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gudo has tightened it up now! chrome should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
