PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Litoris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cooper kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Almost Again. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Litoris showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cooper.
Litoris tries to close the distance and clinch but Cooper swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cooper gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Litoris tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cooper smiles and moves away.
Litoris misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cooper avoids a kick to the body.
Cooper scores with a decent looking hook.

Litoris tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Litoris has eaten all the pies!

Cooper gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Cooper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Litoris wants to control but Cooper is keeping busy.
Cooper thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Litoris kicks off Cooper and gets to his feet.
Litoris darts in trying to clinch
and Cooper counters with a low kick, right behind Litoris 's knee.
Cooper lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Litoris backs up against the cage.

It looks like Mike Litoris has been cut.
Litoris looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Cooper drops Litoris with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Litoris looks back up at him and smiles so Cooper waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Litoris is rocked!
Cooper grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Litoris takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Cooper cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
