Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Locke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chuck Norris!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Norris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Locke regains full guard. Nicely done.
Locke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Norris has eaten all the pies!
Norris prevents Locke from getting back to his feet.
Norris is looking to stand up but Locke won't let him.

Norris tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Norris decides to stand up, so the ref orders Locke to his feet.
Norris circles away from the clinch attempt.
Locke misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Norris wants to clinch up but Locke keeps it at a distance.
Norris closes the distance but Locke moves to the side

and Locke moves into the clinch.

Locke turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Locke manages to end up in side control.
Norris is working to avoid the ground and pound but Locke connects with a decent elbow.

Norris is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Locke asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Locke throws a strike aimed at the side of Norris's head but Norris avoids it well.

The strikes coming from Locke are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Norris is trying to buck Locke off.
Norris takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Locke is working Norris over with some ground and pound from side control.
Norris is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Locke has just dragged him back down to the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Chuck Norris has been cut.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Locke here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Locke lands a nice leg kick that just misses Norris's sensitive parts.
Locke tries to score a power double leg takedown but Norris sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Locke somewhat.

Still in half guard, Locke seems content to control.

Locke seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Locke thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Norris's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Locke closes the distance and clinches.
Norris has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Norris is trying to break free.
Norris wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Locke has him pressed against the cage.

Locke turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Locke manages to end up in side control.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Locke throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Norris works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Norris had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Locke is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Norris Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Locke's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Locke wants to get back to his feet.
Locke looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Norris doesn't have the hooks in and Locke manages to turn into his guard.

Norris wants to stand but Locke is controlling the position.
Ryan Locke is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Locke not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Locke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Norris swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Locke will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Norris is looking for a triangle but Locke pushes his legs off easily.

Locke has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Ryan Locke showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Locke has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
