The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaRusso misses with a series of wild punches.
LaRusso drops Smith with a beautiful combination! Smith stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - LaRusso is looking for the KO!
It looks like Kenny Smith has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
LaRusso scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
LaRusso is staying active underneath Smith, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
LaRusso is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
LaRusso is trying to control but can't.
LaRusso wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith is keen to just control but LaRusso is a slippery customer.
Smith controlling the pace.

Smith is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, LaRusso has managed to free his arm - good work.
Smith is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says LaRusso as he avoids it easily.
LaRusso displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith.
A punch lands to the side of Smith 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Smith is rocked!
Daniel LaRusso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith drops his hands momentarily. LaRusso doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Smith staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Smith doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Daniel LaRusso!
