Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Litran Kossu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kev Mallon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kossu comes to the cage accompanied by Holy Diver. Mallon has chosen I Am Perfection - Dolph Ziggler as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Litran Kossu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kev Mallon!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kossu throws a jab but it's blocked by Mallon.
Mallon blocks a head kick by Kossu.
Kossu scores with a nice head shot.


It looks like Kev Mallon has been cut.
Mallon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kossu.
Mallon thows a body shot but no joy.
Kossu takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kossu.

Kossu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kossu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
You can see the frustration on Mallon's face as Kossu controls the position.
Kossu lands a decent elbow from side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kossu tries for a kimura but Mallon is defending well.
Kossu laying and praying for a moment but Mallon takes advantage and regains half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mallon wants to get back to his feet.

Kossu is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kossu prevents Mallon from standing back up.

Kossu is working for a submission of some sort.
Kossu is looking to take a break and control but Mallon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kossu looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kossu not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Mallon misses with a looping left.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kossu.
Kossu slips a straight right by Mallon.

Kossu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kossu missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Kossu stands and steps away. Mallon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kossu throws a front kick that sends Mallon stumbling back into the cage.
Kev Mallon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kossu closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kossu lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kossu trying to control but Mallon is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kossu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kossu controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kossu trying to control the position from guard on top but Mallon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kossu advances position into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Litran Kossu dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kev Mallon's cut.
That's time! Kossu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kossu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kossu clobbers Mallon with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Litran Kossu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kossu pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kossu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mallon but Mallon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mallon misses with a wild body shot.
Mallon connects with a high kick.
Mallon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kossu.
Mallon ducks under a wild hook from Kossu.
Kossu throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mallon looks to throw the jab but Kossu is out of range.
Mallon lands a jab to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mallon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kossu.
Horrible takedown by Kossu or perhaps it was just good defense by Mallon which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Litran Kossu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mallon moves out of range of the body kick from Kossu.
Kossu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mallon's waist but Mallon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kossu off to one side.
Kossu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mallon defends it nicely.

Kossu throws a body punch but Mallon moves out of range.
Mallon throws a combination that misses

and Kossu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mallon's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kossu postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mallon is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kossu, into his guard.

Mallon wants to stand but Kossu is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kossu tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Mallon has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kossu to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Mallon is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kossu pulls down on the head and he's put Mallon to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Litran Kossu!
