Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bob Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Welch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marvin Welch!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Welch catches Smith right on the button with a cross.
Welch tries to bum rush Smith with a series of wild strikes but Smith uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Smith fails with the takedown.
Horrible takedown by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Welch which made him look bad.
Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Welch, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Welch against the cage but Welch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Welch!

It looks like Bob Smith has been cut.
Welch throws a one two combo.
Welch lands a jab to Smith's midsection.
Welch throws a combination. Smith tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Smith is breathing heavily.
A punch combination from Welch misses.
Smith takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Welch lands a left and a right that send Smith crashing to the mat, dazed. Welch thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Smith is rocked!
Welch cracks Smith with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Smith tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Welch pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Smith is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marvin Welch!
