Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sluggo Brott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Paige (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steve Paige is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brott throws out a loose jab but Paige uses good head movement to avoid it.

Brott will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

so Brott counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Paige needs to keep his hands up - Brott had a free shot at his head there.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brott connects with a nice short shot to Paige's temple.

Brott is nestled in close to Paige, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Steve Paige has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Brott looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Paige with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
