Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
padovan moves out of range as Abdulsson strikes.
Nice sprawl there from Abdulsson as padovan shoots in.
padovan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

It looks like rogerio padovan has been cut.
padovan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Abdulsson tries to avoid it but padovan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Abdulsson to the ground. Abdulsson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
padovan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abdulsson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
padovan drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Abdulsson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

padovan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - padovan lands in his opponent's guard.
Abdulsson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Abdulsson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. padovan manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abdulsson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Abdulsson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Abdulsson clobbers padovan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
padovan needs to keep his hands up - Abdulsson had a free shot at his head there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
padovan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Abdulsson drops padovan with a huge uppercut! padovan drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Abdulsson is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
