PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Divaille (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Divaille kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Knights Of Cydonia. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Divaille as he jumps to the side.
Penn keeps the fight on the outside.
A head kick misses from Divaille.

Penn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Divaille's half guard.

Divaille kicks off Penn and gets to his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Divaille. That's going to slow Penn down.
Penn digs a good hook to Divaille's body.

Penn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Divaille was covering up waiting for the punch and Penn finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Penn wants to control from the top but Divaille keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A right-left combo lands from Penn.
Divaille could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Penn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Divaille's half guard.
Penn is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Divaille throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Divaille has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Penn is working away from the top position though.
Divaille is breathing heavily.

Penn has hold of Divaille's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Divaille tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Penn cranks the arm and Divaille screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Divaille, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
