Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Garnet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tane Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson has chosen it was over as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Josh Garnet has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Josh Garnet seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson lands a nice looking body kick.
Thompson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Thompson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Garnet is out of range.
Garnet misses with an uppercut. Thompson saw that one coming.
Thompson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Garnet moves away.
Garnet misses the jab.
Thompson throws a right hand that Garnet ducks under and follows up with a left that Garnet also avoids with ease.
Garnet throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Thompson throws a hook to the side of Garnet's head but Garnet sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garnet ducks right into an uppercut from Thompson.
Thompson misses with a low kick as Garnet jumps back.
Thompson misses with a series of wild punches.

Thompson explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Garnet takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Thompson lands a nice looking body shot.
Thompson cracks Garnet with an open hand slap.

Garnet scores a takedown into full mount!
Thompson is desperately trying to improve his position but Garnet has a good base and remains in mount.
Thompson wants to control but Garnet is having none of it.
Thompson manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Thompson wants to get back to full guard but Garnet has passed into side control.

Garnet breaks from Thompson's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Garnet lands a heavy elbow.
Garnet throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Thompson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Garnet lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Thompson hang on?
Thompson is in a horrible position here. Garnet smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
