Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Jane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zequinha Pancado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zequinha Pancado will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pancado will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jane tries to clinch there but Pancado circles away.

Jane lands a left and a right that send Pancado crashing to the mat, dazed. Jane thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Zequinha Pancado has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jane fails to land with a series of punches.
Jane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pancado manages to avoid it.
Jane misses with a jab, cross combination.

Pancado blocks a head kick by Jane.
Jane throws a series of punches but Pancado avoids them all with ease.
Jane wants to clinch.

Pancado closes the distance and clinches.
Jane is looking to break free of the clinch but Pancado has double underhooks.
Pancado can't get the takedown.
Pancado jumps guard but Jane stands there with Pancado around his waist. Pancado gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jane decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pancado, up you get!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pancado is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jane can't fight it off and eventually Pancado manages to take the fight to the floor. Jane looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jane looks to land a body kick but Pancado moved away.

and Pancado moves into the clinch.
Pancado is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Pancado just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jane's brow.

Pancado pulls guard.

Pancado had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jane is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Pancado Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jane's back instead.

Pancado might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jane kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Patrick Jane will probably get the nod.

That's time! Jane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Pancado takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jane lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pancado stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jane swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A nice inside leg kick there by Pancado. That's going to slow Jane down.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Pancado seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jane is looking for a sweep. Pancado is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jane is trying to stand up here but Pancado is controlling him well.
Jane is trying to escape back to his feet but Pancado uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Pancado tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jane sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pancado somewhat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pancado is looking to clinch but Jane is avoiding it.
