Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monroe has chosen Bad boy 4 Life as his entrance music. Dan Monroe struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Jin Kazama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Dan Monroe!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazama tries to clinch up but Monroe circles away and keeps his distance.
Kazama throws a head kick that misses.
Kazama ducks under a wild hook from Monroe.
Some wild striking there from Kazama.
Kazama doesn't manage to clinch there - Monroe circles away.

Monroe shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kazama is trying to defend but Monroe finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Monroe trying to control the pace.

Monroe throwing shots but Kazama is blocking nicely.
Monroe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Monroe sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kazama defending well though.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Monroe tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kazama knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Monroe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kazama swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Monroe throwing strikes but missing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Monroe shoots in but no luck this time.
Kazama lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Monroe circles away quickly and effectively.
Kazama looks to land a combination but Monroe avoids it well.
Kazama tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Monroe paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kazama is looking to clinch but Monroe is avoiding it.
Kazama goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Monroe closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Monroe lands in his opponent's guard.

Monroe stands up over Kazama, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Monroe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Monroe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That's time! Kazama's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kazama throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Monroe circles away from the clinch attempt.
Monroe misses the shot to the body.
Kazama will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Monroe shoots in and drives through. Kazama sprawls well.

Monroe scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Monroe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kazama does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Monroe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Monroe misses with a head shot. Kazama uses the momentum to regain guard.

Monroe is looking to work some ground and pound but Kazama has wrist control.
Kazama wants to stand and escape but Monroe is having none of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Monroe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kazama misses with a few strikes there.
Monroe has a takedown stuffed.
A combination from Kazama does no damage.
Kazama tries to clinch but Monroe moves out of range.
Jin Kazama is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Monroe misses with a takedown attempt - Kazama sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jin Kazama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Monroe.
Kazama looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Dan Monroe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Kazama tries to kick Monroe off but Monroe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Monroe is controlling the pace.
Monroe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kazama's head.

Kazama has hold of Monroe's hands but Monroe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Monroe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Monroe landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Monroe tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kazama knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Monroe trying to control the action but Kazama is working from the bottom.
Kazama avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Monroe.

Dan Monroe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Monroe winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
