Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Snatch Dat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Power has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Power!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Snatch Dat!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Power moves into the clinch.
Power lands a nice elbow.
Dat takes a knee right on the jaw!

Power breaks the clinch.
Power with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Power darts in and clinches Dat up against the cage.
Power goes for a takedown attempt but Dat pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dat clinches but Power breaks the clinch

and Power counters by clinching up.
Dat tries to pull guard but Power won't allow it.
Dat tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Power smiles and moves away.
Power fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Power moves into range and clinches up with Dat.

Dat has picked Power up - he's going for a ride! Dat dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Dat is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Dat throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Power tries to hold on but Dat postures up.
Dat controlling his opponent.
Dat working Power over with strikes here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dat with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Dat looking to control but Power is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Power is trying to stand up.
Power is squirming around, avoiding Dat's attempts to control the action.

Dat stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Dat looks gassed!
Horrible takedown by Power or perhaps it was just good defense by Dat which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Power. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dat closes the distance looking to clinch

and Power counters by moving into the clinch.

Power breaks the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Power scores with a nice hook to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Power jumps into guard, dragging Dat to the mat.

Dat drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dat jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Power looking for a guillotine here but Dat defends easily.
Dat passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Dat is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Power knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Power throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Dat controlling the position from side mount.
Power taking a bit of punishment here - Dat scoring with strikes.


It looks like Chris Power has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Dat stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Dat drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dat throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Power works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dat showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Dat won't allow Power to get back to his feet.
Dat not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Power not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dat passes into half guard.

Dat looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Power trying to control from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Power is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dat wants to control but Power is keeping him busy.
Power is trying to control but can't.
Power is looking to escape.
Dat wants to free his trapped foot but Power is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Power tries to roll over but Dat keeps him under control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Power tries for a takedown but Dat circles away easily

and Dat counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Power working a defensive guard but Dat manages to pass into side control anyway.

Dat tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dat has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Snatch Dat dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chris Power's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Power closes the distance and clinches.
Dat tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Power just stands there and leans against the cage.
Power goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dat prevents it.

Power breaks the clinch.
Dat fails with the takedown

and Power counters by clinching up.
Power landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Dat tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Power smiles and moves away.
Chris Power has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Snatch Dat.

Dat shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dat was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dat controlling his opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Power has left one of his arms exposed and Dat doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Power screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Snatch Dat!
