PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoppe Krille (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krille comes into a darkened arena with his song building. My Territory kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hoppe Krille!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson stuffs the takedown attempt from Krille. Krille gets slowly back to his feet.
Krille shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Krille but Krille pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses.
Hoppe Krille seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson scores with a hook to the body. Krille takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Jackson misses with a wild combination.
Krille swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson.
Jackson wants to slow Krille down by chopping away at his legs.
Krille throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jackson clinches up against the cage.
Jackson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Jackson wants to stall.
Krille is trying to force a seperation but Jackson has the dominant position.

Krille gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Jackson keeping moving, preventing Krille from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Krille scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Jackson looking to control.
Jackson seems keen to control Krille's posture.
Krille pushes down on Jackson's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Krille missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Krille is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jackson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Krille.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
Jackson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Krille wants to take a breather but Jackson is having none of it.
Krille passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jackson!

Jackson is trying to stand back up but Krille is controlling him
Krille looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jackson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Jackson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Krille winds up and cracks Jackson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Krille looks gassed!
Jackson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Krille throwing shots but Jackson is blocking nicely.

Jackson gets back to full guard.
Krille throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jackson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jackson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jackson pulls Krille in to control the position.
Jackson wants to sweep here but Krille controlling him for the moment.
Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position.

Krille drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Krille off! Krille jumps back into Jackson's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Krille throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Krille shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Jackson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Krille keeps moving.
Krille wants to sweep but no luck.

Jackson wants to stand but Krille is controlling his posture from full guard.
Jackson won't allow Krille to sweep him here.
Krille wants to get back to his feet but Jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Krille on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jackson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Jackson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Krille misses with a takedown

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jackson tries to pass to full mount but Krille defends it.
Krille has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Krille is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Jackson is defending well though. Krille let's go of the attempt for now.
Jackson breaks Krille's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Krille is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jackson defends well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Krille's waist but Krille gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.

Krille has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Jackson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
