Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rob Terry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Irvin!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terry connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Bruce Irvin has been cut.
Terry wants to clinch.
Good leg kick by Irvin there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Irvin swats away the attempt to clinch by Terry.
Irvin instigates a clinch.
Irvin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Irvin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Terry.
A punch lands to the side of Irvin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Irvin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Irvin scores with a kick to the body.
Rob Terry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Terry is breathing heavily.
Terry uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Irvin.
Terry tries to clinch but Irvin moves away
and Irvin counters with a head kick that drops Terry to the mat! Terry scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Irvin keeps Terry at a distance using the push kick.
Irvin lands with a thumping leg kick.
Irvin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Terry. That did some damage!
Terry chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Irvin can pounce on him.
Irvin moves into the clinch successfully.
Irvin with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Rob Terry has been cut.
Irvin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Terry misses with an uppercut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Irvin throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Terry takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters circling a little - Irvin finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Irvin clinches with his opponent.
Irvin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Terry tries to clinch
and Irvin counters with an inside leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Irvin moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Irvin throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Irvin thows a body kick. Terry tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Irvin darts in and clinches Terry up against the cage.
Irvin breaks the clinch.
Irvin rushes Terry and presses him up against the cage.
Irvin breaks from the clinch.
Terry gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Irvin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Irvin throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Terry.
Irvin lands with a slapping head kick.
Terry is rocked!
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Irvin! This one is all over!
