Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karpo Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jace Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Karpo Karelin has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Karpo Karelin seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wright.
Karelin slips a jab and a cross from Wright.
Wright throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wright stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Karelin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wright moves away.
Karelin tries to clinch up but Wright circles away and keeps his distance.
Wright scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Karelin throws a big shot that misses.
Wright throws a leg kick which misses Karelin's front leg but catches the back leg as Karelin tries to avoid it.
Wright takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Jace Wright has been cut.

Karelin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wright sprawls well initially but Karelin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
