Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, American Spirit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Rigatoni!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rigatoni shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Spirit manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Spirit wants to stand and escape but Rigatoni is having none of it.
Rigatoni makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rigatoni missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Rigatoni tries to free his leg and advance position but Spirit is retaining full guard.
Rigatoni pushing down on Spirit's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Rigatoni decides to stand up.
Spirit scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rigatoni in his tracks.

Rigatoni shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Spirit really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rigatoni showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Rigatoni stands up over Spirit, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Spirit can't keep his opponent in guard - Rigatoni advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Spirit wants to get back to his feet.
Spirit is breathing heavily.
Rigatoni is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Rigatoni is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Rigatoni decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Spirit throws a combination. Rigatoni tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Spirit tries to clinch up but Rigatoni circles away and keeps his distance.
Spirit looks to score with a jab to the body but Rigatoni is just out of range.

Rigatoni looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Spirit!
A nice elbow there by Rigatoni.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Spirit looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Rigatoni has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Spirit! Can he survive? No! He's out! Rigatoni gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
